Penkota Wireline
Services was formed in 1981 as Pengo Wireline of North Dakota. The company
was jointly owned by Pengo Industries, Arlan Arnson, and Mark Gjovig.
At the time
Pengo Industries wanted to expand its' domestic wireline division to
all the producing areas of the United States.
| Pengo was
creating joint ventures to gain market share while at the same time
providing an incentive for attracting qualified personnel. During
this time Arlan and Mark were working for Gearhart Industries and
looking for an opportunity to start their own business. |
 |
Penkota was
formed October 1, 1981 and operated till May 1990. At that time Pengo
Industries was divesting its' wireline division due to the slow down
in the oil industry. Arlan and Mark purchased the shares held by Pengo
Industries. Because the Pengo name was a trademark, the company name
was changed to Penkota Wireline Service, to reflect our regional business
area.

Penkota is now
in its' 22nd year of operation and has recently rebuilt its' four logging
trucks and upgraded them with the latest computer technology. Along
with our mechanical services truck, we operate five trucks in the Williston
Basin.
